The industry’s current plans to install electrolyser capacity in Europe amount to 19,328 MW by 2030 [1] which translates into almost 11 billion EUR in electrolyser investments alone. Energy needs of these electrolysers are equivalent to the energy produced by approx. 40 GW of renewable capacity which translates to 71 billion EUR of CAPEX investments in renewables.
